Got a truck or a car with a bike rack? Let the folks in your neighborhood know that you’ll deliver and dispose of their live Christmas trees this season.
There will be tons of people who want to buy that perfect tree, but don’t have access to a vehicle that can carry it. Come to the rescue!
Try partnering with a local Christmas tree pop-up shop to be their exclusive tree deliverer. You’ll both win from the business!
2. Offer Holiday decor services
Got a knack for decor? Provide Thanksgiving & Christmas home decor services in affluent neighborhoods.
Make sure that you have a portfolio of work to show, then go for it!
You can always find inexpensive decor from places like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Joann, or any dollar store. You can offer to rent the decor or let them keep it for the next year at a premium!
3. Make gift baskets
There are always tons of people looking for easy gifts to give.
A gift basket is one of those items. Make gift baskets to sell at work and in your neighborhood. There are tons of people who’d appreciate the easy shopping that it brings!
You can buy items in bulk then begin the magic of packaging them together. Create standard gift sets to make production and ordering easy!
4. Be a Black Friday shopper
We love the deals of Black Friday, but we all hate the lines. Offer services as a Black Friday shopper.
You stand in line and make the purchases for a fee! Meet beforehand to get your customer’s list and create a plan to grab all of the items when the doors open!
Sell your customers on the fact that they’ll be able to stay home with their family while you handle the shopping for them. Just be sure that you have a plan to get all of the items amidst the Black Friday pandemonium!
5. Be a gift wrapper
Many moons ago, gift wrappers would sit at the front of stores during the holiday season to wrap gifts that had just been purchased. Bring that back into style!
Perfect the art of gift wrapping and streamer curling and provide your services. You can partner with a local boutique or store to serve as their exclusive gift wrapper!
6. Dress up as Mr. or Mrs. Clause or an elf for events
Got a beard? Can you stuff pillows into a Santa suit? Invest in these costumes and offer services for holiday parties and events.
The great thing is that you don’t even have to do this in person. You can offer Zoom calls with Santa and simply charge a fee to parents.
7. Put up & take down holiday lights
If you own a ladder and nails, this is the perfect job for you. Offer services to put up Christmas lights for homes in the area.
You’d be surprised what people would pay to not have to put up or take down lights for the holiday.
Go a step further and offer a package that includes the lights! It’ll require a bit of an upfront investment, but with the right marketing strategy and customers, you’re sure to have a return on your investment!
8. Babysit
This side hustle isn’t exclusive to the holidays, but it’s sure to be in demand! With holiday parties and uninterrupted shopping that needs to get done, you’ll be a mom’s hero this season.
Offer special rates for the holidays and start banking in on those events that are coming up!
9. Sell custom holiday cards
You don’t have to be a graphic design pro to sell or create holiday cards! Just sign up for a free version of Canva to use their templates. Have your customers send you their photos and voila! You have a holiday card business.
