The latest crochet pattern on Crochethea blog is from a childhood TV show, Teletubbies! This time I made them as Amigurumi Teletubbies Finger Puppets. They’re so cute!
Actually I was no longer a child when Teletubbies was broadcast on TV. At that time I was in middle school, but still love watching TV shows for children, hehe.
Amigurumi Teletubbies finger puppets are cute and adorable. I made them as a gift for a friend who has to babysit his baby nephew. The baby boy is so happy with his new friends.
There are many activities that can be done with amigurumi Teletubbies finger puppets. Babies also need entertainment and activities to develop their brain growth.

Notes
Amigurumi Teletubbies Finger Puppets are about 9 cm (3,5 inches) tall without antenna, between 11-12 cm (4.3-4.7 inches) with antenna. The hole diameter for the finger is about 1.5 cm (0.6 inches).
I used small ply balinese cotton yarn (sport yarn) and Tulip hook no. 2/0 (2 mm hook).

Materials
Yarns:
– Teletubbies colors (purple, green, yellow, red)
– skin tone
– gray
– black
– pink
Stuffing
2 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Stitches
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = single crochet increase (2 sc in next st)
dec = single crochet decrease (join next 2 sts into 1)
sl st = slip stitch
Head
With skin tone
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Round 3: *1 sc, inc* 6 times (18)
Round 4: *2 sc, inc* 6 times (24)
Round 5-9: sc in each st – 5 rounds (24)
Round 10: *2 sc, dec* 6 times (18)
Stuff as you go
Round 11: *1 sc, dec* 6 times (12)
Round 12: *dec* 6 times (6)
Fasten off.
Embroider the eyes on Round 7, 4 sts apart.
Embroider the nose between Round 7 dan 8.
Embroider the mouth on Round 9.
Embroider the cheek with pink yarn.
Hat
With primary color
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Round 3: *1 sc, inc* 6 times (18)
Round 4: *2 sc, inc* 6 times (24)
Round 5: *11 sc, inc* 2 times (26)
Round 6-10: sc in each st – 5 rounds (26)
End with sl slt, leave a long tail for sewing to the head and body.
Ears (make 2)
With primary color
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Round 3: *1 sc, inc, 1 sc* 4 times, sl st (16)
Leave a tail for sewing.
Body
With primary color
Round 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
Round 2: *inc* 6 times (12)
Round 3: *2 sc, inc* 4 times (16)
Round 4: sc in each st (16)
Round 5: *3 sc, inc* 4 times (20)
Round 6: sc in each st (20)
Round 7: *4 sc, inc* 4 times (24)
Round 8-10: sc in each st – 3 rounds (24)
Round 11: *2 sc, dec* 6 times (18)
Round 12: *7 sc, dec* 2 times (16)
Round 13-17: sc in each st – 5 rounds (16)
Fasten off.
Hands (make 2)
With primary color
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2: inc, 3 sc (5)
Round 3-7: sc in each st – 5 rounds (5)
End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
TV screen
With gray
Row 1: 6 ch, skip 1 ch, 5 sc, turn (5)
Row 2-3: without ch, sc in each st, turn (5)
Leave a tail for sewing.
ANTENNA
No need to stuff the antennas.
Tinky Winky antenna pole
With purple
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2-3: sc in each st – 2 rounds (4)
End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
Tinky Winky triangle antenna
With purple
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2-14: sc in each st – 13 rounds (4)
End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
Bend into a triangle and sew the corners to secure the triangle shape.
Dipsy antenna
With green
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2-7: sc in each st – 6 rounds (4)
End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
Laa-Laa antenna
With yellow
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2-15: sc in each st – 14 rounds (4)
End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
Bend in a half and turn up the top end, sew to secure the shape.
Po antenna pole
With red
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)Round 2: sc in each st (4)End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
Po ring antenna
With red
Round 1: MR, 4 sc (4)
Round 2-14: sc in each st – 13 rounds (4)
End with sl st, leave a tail for sewing.
Bend into a ring and sew together.
Attachment
I attached all of the parts in this order:
- Place head into the hat and sew on start from the bottom. The rest of the yarn will be used to sew head onto the body.
- Fold and sew on the ears to the hat.
- Sew the antenna onto the top of the hat.
- Sew the finished head onto the body.
- Sew the arms.
- Sew TV screen onto tummy.
- Tidy up all the remaining yarn.
