The Bell Boom ordinance is one of four ordinances that can be enacted once the Mayor of a town has received their Development Permit. Like the other three ordinances, it costs 20,000 bells to enact.
When this ordinance is in effect, all purchase prices and selling prices are raised by 20%. This has several distinct advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages
- Earning Bells is easier when the players primary source of income is selling articles to Re-Tail.
- The rise in prices does not apply to home expansions or any of the public works projects, making them easier to pay off by selling goods.
- Nookling Junction and its subsequent stores will upgrade faster, due to the higher income.
