Best display ad networks for publishers: If you are a website owner, these are the 5 best display ad networks to monetize your blog.

Display ads are one of the easiest ways to monetize a blog or website.

Once you are approved and the display ads are set up, you get paid for publishing and marketing content.

Essentially, display ads and blogging platforms like WordPress allow anyone to become their own online magazine.

By the end of this article, you will know the 5 best display ad networks for publishers to monetize their blogs and websites.

Let’s get started.

1. Google Adsense

Google Adsense is typically the ad network publishers start with.

In fact, it was the first ad network I used on this blog for 4 years. I even wrote a review about it.

Although it’s usually the lowest paying option, it’s easy to get accepted to. Also, most managed ad networks prefer to work with publishers that have been approved by Google Adsense.

In terms of income, Google Adsense pays out each time your earnings reach $100. They will send you a check or direct deposit earnings directly to your bank account.

Prior to switching to Monumetric, I was able to earn around $30 per month with less than 10,000 page views. My RPM would range anywhere from $2 to $12, depending on the day.

2. Monumetric

Monumetric is a display ad network that is founded by publishers.

They are a step up from Google Adsense because they are a managed ad network. This means you give them access to your site and they manage the ads for you.

The team will really work with you to increase your income from ads. Plus, they use a pay-per-view (PPV) model, which means you get paid for impressions, not just clicks.

So, to increase your income, all you have to do is increase your page views and traffic.

Unlike Google Adsense, there are requirements to apply to Monumetric. To start working with Monumetric, your website needs to be receiving at least 10,000 page views per month.

If you are a website owner looking to turn your website into a full-time business, and if you meet the requirements, I would highly recommend that you apply to Monumetric.

There is a small setup fee of $99, but it’s totally worth it because you will make it back in a couple months or less.

3. Interactive Offers

Another alternative display ad network to consider is Interactive Offers.

Apparently, they pay very well compared to other ad networks.

And they offer the unique ability to earn income from Native In-email ads. So, you can monetize an already engaged audience via your email list.

As far as revenue model, they use a cost-per-click (CPC) platform. Therefore, your income depends on how well your traffic converts to clicks.

Publishers get paid out on the 15th of every month.

4. Ezoic

If I wasn’t with Monumetric right now, I’d probably go with Ezoic.

Based on my research, they have the potential to be one of the highest paying display ad networks outside of Mediavine.

What separates Ezoic is that they offer machine learning for publishers. They use A.I. to make intelligent decisions on every page to increase revenue.

They are very dedicated and confident that they can increase revenue for publishers they work with.

Although I have not personally worked with Ezoic, I have heard great things from Thrifty Hustler.

5. Mediavine

Mediavine is the cream of the crop when it comes to display ad networks.

They work with the best websites and they pay the best.

With Mediavine, many website owners have reported an RPM as high as $15.

Simply put, you earn $15 for every 1,000 page views on your blog.

Of course, because the earnings potential is so much greater, it difficult to get accepted to Mediavine.

To work with Mediavine, you need at least 50,000 sessions in the last 30 days. Not page views, sessions.

Ultimately, Mediavine is the very best display ad network for publishers.

Best Display Ad Networks for Publishers – Final Thoughts

There are at least 15 more display ad networks in addition to the 5 mentioned in this post.

I did not cover them because I focused on only the best ad networks to keep it simple.

But the fact that there are so many ad network options shows that display ads are here to stay.

Like them or not, display ads are a way for website owners to make money.

If you find a topic you like to research and blog about, display ads are a great way to create an income stream around your hobby.

At one point in my life, I worked as a Magazine Customer Service Representative for Chapters. I was specifically responsible for managing inventory, stocking shelves, and looking after the magazine section.

More than a decade later, I have my own online magazine with advertisers that pays monthly.

We are living in fortuitous times.

In conclusion, if you are a website owner looking to monetize your work, consider one of the five ad networks in this post.

They are the best display ad networks for publishers overall. And as a publisher, you will get to focus on what you enjoy—creating content, marketing it, and engaging with your online community.
