Struggling with money mindset? Today we are talking about money mindset and money trauma and how both are the leveraging factor to what you do and think about money.
What happened to you in your childhood around financials — whether it’s what your parents did or said about money, can effect your money mindset today. We are going to dig deep with money mindset because that is what is actually driving your financial decisions.
When we can’t stick to a budget what is actually going on is that you can feel like you are lacking on all fronts for self discipline and feel like there is something wrong with you and it becomes your identity that you are not good enough where it’s actually a lot of the experience and examples that were shown to you in the past.
Which have become how you think about money and yourself.
Stripping it down to how we can flip that money mindset script to the positive, as well as where to start is what Stephanie talks about today.
Hey! I am Stephanie Sims. I have been married to my husband for over 10 years and we have 4 little boys + we are foster parents. I am a special education teacher by trade but have stepped away from the classroom to pursue my business, Legacy through Motherhood.
The heartbeat of my business is generational change. I help women, specifically, moms, become the inflection point in their family.
I speak on 5 main topics: Faith, Finances, Health, Marriage, and Mindset. My favorite topic to talk about is finances.
About 4 years ago my husband and I had a negative net worth. Now, we have half a million and growing. I love to help other women figure out there budget’s through 1:1 coaching and also coach on the topic of money mindset through my signature course, “Entrusted: With her Finances.”
Other than that, I love sand volleyball, a good margarita, napping, and a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew 🙂

What's your money mindset? Having a proper money mindset is about taking prudent and practical actions in your finances. Besides having financial goals, preparing for the future also includes getting life insurance in the Philippines to help you take care of yourself and maintain good health.
If you have a positive money mindset, you are more likely to be decisive and take the steps that you need to take to succeed. On the other hand, negativity breeds emotions that prevent action: Fear or intimidation. Defeatism. Procrastination.
Before we dive into the details, let's first understand the concept of the golden rule of saving money. Simply put, it states that you should always save a portion of your income before spending it.
What is a Poor Mindset? A poor mindset is a limited perspective on wealth and a belief that your situation is unchangeable. People with a poor mindset often live paycheck to paycheck and struggle to make ends meet. They may lack financial literacy and have a negative relationship with money.
A growth mindset is characterized by a belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. People with a growth mindset are more likely to enjoy challenges, persevere through difficulties, and learn from criticism.
