Of course, smaller palms will need less fertilizer, which you can apply by hand (don’t forget gloves!) or a hand spreader.

The good news is that our palm fertilizers have a coating that makes them release very slowly, so it is difficult to over apply and damage anything. Realistically, the only way to cause damage to a palm is to dump the fertilizer in piles, rather than spreading it evenly.
