If you haven’t yet encountered Cecilia in your Genshin Impact adventures, you’d be forgiven. All of the resource nodes are located bundled together in a remote corner of Teyvat. Combined with the fact that the only characters that use it are Albedo and Venti, and there isn’t a ton of reason to gather these flowers unless you’ve pulled the associated 5-Star characters. In this guide we’ll help you find Cecilia quickly, highlight the place to farm it, and explain what uses the material currently has.

Where to Find the Cecilia in Genshin Impact
If you’re looking to farm Cecilia, you’ll need to head on over to the Starsnatch Cliffs area. Here you can find 13 Cecilia patches which is every single one available in Teyvat. Thankfully, there are a total of 37 flowers among those and you can also purchase a total of five per reset from Flora in Mondstadt though they’ll set you back 1,000 Mora each. You can also obtain a few from the NPC near the top of Starsnatch Cliff and from the nun in front of the cathedral in Mondstadt. If you want to slowly accumulate Cecilia without having to trek through the mountains, this is an easy way to do so as long as you visit the vendors routinely.
Remember, the flowers will refresh 48 hours (two days) after harvesting. Because of this, I recommend hitting all of the nodes. This will maximize your farm, reducing the amount of time you spend waiting to finally upgrade your characters. Keep in mind that vendors restock once per week, so if you’re in a rush, you have to head to Starsnatch Cliff yourself.
Genshin Impact Cecilia Uses
The primary reason you want a lot of Cecilia is for character ascension. Venti and Albedo use 168 Cecilia each during their ascensions which means you need more than 300 of these to fully level both of them up. While that’s obviously not required, this is basically the only reason you want these rare flowers. Once you’ve gathered enough, you can go back to forgetting they exist, at least until miHoYo releases another character that uses them as a local material.
Cecilia can also used for Anemoculus Resonance Stones which are consumables that highlight the nearest Anemoculus. We don’t recommend crafting these, however. While they help you find those pesky Anemoculus collectibles, they’re hardly required. Just use a map service like MapGenie and keep track of which ones you have collected.
While there’s no way to know for sure, it’s possible the upcoming Hydro Bow user, Yelan, or Electro Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang, Kuki Shinobu will use them. Expect to see those characters released sometime during Genshin Impact Version 2.7!
