Can inhaling Eucalyptus Oil be dangerous?
I often use eucalyptus oil in my humidifier when i am congested. I by mistake put roughly 5ml into my humidifier, could this be toxic? I know consuming eucalyptus is dangerous, but does this hold true for inhalation as well?

Hi
Ingesting eucalyptus oil is dangerous, as you rightly mention. Inhaling the oil is not dangerous, but one should be very careful in young children and babies, as it could be dangerous to expose them to high dosages of eucalyptus oil, even when inhaled. You should not suffer any side effects from the eucalyptus oil that you inhaled, but just be careful next time. Good luck.
