Commonly used for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and other special occasions. May be more generally used to convey such ideasas love, happiness, and beauty. Also used as a pinkaccent color and in association with Hawaiiand other Polynesian places and cultures.
Hibiscus was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
