How to earn XP and level up fast in Fortnite Season 2 (2024)
Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 3 continues to use a similar experience system to the previous one. In this Fortnite Battle Royale guide we tell you the best methods to earn XP and level up quickly:
How to level up fast in Fortnite Season 2
The methods we have when it comes to leveling up fast during Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 3 are very similar to what we have known so far. Each level requires 75,000 XP, and each level from level 200 onwards increases the amount of experience needed per level by 400. In total we need 15,000,000 XP to level up to level 200 to unlock everything in the Battle Pass (including the Additional Rewards).
Playing Save the World
Yes, exactly what you have read. Since Fortnite Season 1 Chapter 3, successfully completed missions in Save the World give us experience that we can use to level up in Battle Royale mode. Mind you, there is a daily limit: 600,000 XP per day; the limit resets every day at 17:00 PT.
Playing Creative is another common method to level up fast returns to Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 3. Fortnite's Creative Mode has an infinite number of maps; many of them were updated last season so that you could gain experience by playing them. Use the Discover tab and look at the name and description of each map, as they usually specify whether they give XP or not.
Another option, which had a nerf that Epic Games did not specify, is simply being AFK (absent, leaving the character still) in the Creative Mode lobby. Depending on the lobby, we may or may not gain XP every 15 minutes. We may have to move around a bit to prevent the AFK detector from preventing us from earning XP.
Completing Battle Royale Missions
There are countless new missions in Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 3. We have Season Missions (the lifelong weekly ones), different sets of Story Missions for this season, and also the Daily and Milestones are back. For completing tasks of all kinds we can get experience. This is the experience we get for completing each type of mission:
With the Milestones there are again a couple of curious exploits that will allow us to go up a few levels at once. One of the milestones consists of destroying structures; if we get a Titan Tank, we can go to an urban area and simply start destroying everything with the tank.
Two other Milestones are spending gold bars, and buying from vending machines. If we find an Armatronic vending machine (the ones that sell weapons), we can buy all the ammunition we can to advance in these two Milestones and thus gain XP.
Each milestone quest has 20 stages, with each stage worth 5k XP. This equals 100,000 XP for each milestone, and one million XP if all 10 are fully completed. That's equivalent to roughly 12.5 levels of the current battle pass. You will naturally do most of these actions as you play games in the season.
The average time to reach level 100 in Fortnite is about 7.5 million XP. A change in season or a new event that introduces new challenges may affect XP opportunities. It is possible to earn XP by earning medals, winning matches, and completing challenges.
Considering each level is 80,000 XP, players can rank up near to 3 times, through a variety of different ways. Players can enjoy a bounty of different levels, from player-created story content to parkour courses, deathmatches, and many more.
Different methods like mining & trading with villagers can help players level up quickly. Mob farms are effective in getting XP. Building a trap room for mobs to spawn & die repeatedly can provide a steady stream of XP. Killing the Wither or Ender Dragon can result in a burst of XP.
How to farm XP in Fortnite? The fastest way to get XP in Fortnite and level up our battle pass is to complete the daily, weekly, story, and milestone challenges in both Save the World and Creative modes. What Fortnite map gives the most XP? Toybox FFA is a free-for-all map that is an excellent XP option.
These are as simple as they come but rack up XP points quickly. Just plant cactus or bamboo and the crops will grow automatically. All you have to do is harvest them with shears or a pickaxe and you'll get XP for each one.
Note: You can level up the Battle Pass over level 100 if you purchase it but there are no rewards for any levels above 100. If you do not purchase the Battle Pass, you can not level over 100.
In Fortnite, there isn't a strict XP cap that stops your progress. Instead, the game encourages you to play more, offering various ways to earn XP through challenges, matches, and more. This system allows players to continuously improve their levels throughout a season.
