The Thorny Devil, a lizard species native to the arid regions of Australia, has developed a unique survival tactic in its harsh habitat. Unlike many animals, it doesn't rely on drinking water to stay hydrated.

The thorny devil stays hydrated thanks to its skin, which pulls water away from moist grains, against gravity and into its mouth.
