Guide on how to rank first in the exams in Persona 5 / Persona 5 Royal. Included is an overview, method, and how to earn the trophy.
Becoming Top of the Class
There are four exams in one playthrough of the game. If you intend to rank first in class, you need to have attained rank 4 in Knowledge (Encyclopedic) on the last day of the exam and answer all questions correctly. To stay on top during the second, third, and fourth exams, you need to reach rank 5 in Knowledge (Erudite) by each of the respective last exam days and continue to answer all questions correctly. If you fulfill the requirements, you will receive a trophy. While this is possible on the first playthrough, you can still earn the trophy on succeeding playthroughs since social stats carry over.
How to Increase Knowledge
Knowledge is one of the five social stats in Persona 5. You need to invest in knowledge building activities early on to boost it. For example, you need to participate actively in class by answering class questions through recitations or brush up on topics by studying with a group.
However, building your social stats in general doesn’t stop there. You can cut the amount of time performing these activities by relying on Luck Reading. To start Luck Reading, you need to work on your Fortune Confidant. Visit Chihaya’s stand for a Luck Reading in Shinjuku, then do a Knowledge training activity to gain more Knowledge.
The first exam doesn’t come up until 5/11, so you have enough time to build your Knowledge by doing various activities.
Earning the Trophy
To receive the trophy, you must have done the steps mentioned above. When the results come out, check yours to receive the trophy.
For every exam that you came out on top, you can report to Sojiro at Cafe Leblanc for a reward. He will offer an accessory for each of your achievements.
