Redstone Ore is an ore in Minecraft. It is very common, as it is usually found 16 levels or below above Bedrock, although it can be found in other places, and is fairly common there. It can be mined by an iron, diamond, or netherite pickaxe. When mined, it will drop 1-4 RedstoneDust (without the Fortune enchantment; Fortune III can yield up to 32 Redstone). This makes Redstone very easy to gather, so long as one avoids death.
How to obtain[]
- Mine with an Iron Pickaxe or higher enchanted with Silk Touch to obtain the ore, not the item, Redstone.
- Redstone is often found in close proximity to lava, so exercise caution when mining.
- Redstone Ore is also found in very long caves that are deep. It even can be found in ravines too.
Trivia[]
- When left-clicked or walked on, Redstone Ore will emit a faint light.
