Daylight savings time is behind us, and I'm ready to wear color—this year more than ever. The mood these days is optimism for the year ahead, and spring's biggest, most cheerful color trend certainly reflects that. If you've read any of Who What Wear'sspring trend stories as of late, you probably guessed that that color trend is pink, specifically, bubblegum pink.
I believe that the biggest color trends during any given season are the ones that look good on everyone, and I'm also a firm believer that pink looks good on everyone. There are plenty of examples of this on Instagram right now (some of which I shared below), and almost everyone is wearing that medium pink that so many clothes and accessories come in this season.
To find out more about why pink is such a flattering color, I consulted Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. She told me, "Pink is a universally flattering color as it has always been associated with a 'rosy glow,' the color of good health, no matter what the skin tone, from the lightest to the deepest." Additionally, Eiseman broke down exactly which shades of pink look best on cool, warm, and neutral (i.e., neither cool nor warm) skin tones. Scroll to shop the specific tones and see how stylish women are incorporating pink into their wardrobes this season.
If you want to get many compliments, wear a pretty pink dress such as this.

Think outside the box and wear bubblegum pink with other vibrant spring colors.

Not only does pink look good on everyone, but it also goes with every color.
Now that I've seen this, I plan on wearing a pink top with cream jeans and boots very soon.
This pale pink Miu Miu outfit hits on another spring trend as well: '60s mod vibes.

"For the cooler skin tones, a slightly bluish pink, like Pantone's Prism Pink."—Leatrice Eiseman
"For skin tones that seem to have a balance of cool and warm (and are sometimes difficult to categorize as either cool or warm), a neutral pink like Pantone's Tickled Pink."
And experts say this year's defining spring and summer trends, like the return of boho style and a resurgence of cowboy-inspired pieces, follow the same arc—but with a little more playfulness this time around.
There is one more shade that I think is universally flattering and that is Blush Pink, or warm pink. I've seen this color on all seasons and it always looked great. It is certainly a great color for lipsticks and blush when anything too coral/peach is too warm and pure pink is too cool.
For 2024, experts say you can expect to see a continuation of '90s-inspired wardrobes a la jelly accessories and collegiate prep, as well as some unexpected moments of inspiration—like grandpa, jazz, and retro femininity.
Athleisure continues to be a popular fashion choice.
"Embrace comfortable yet stylish athletic wear for various occasions," the designer told BI. "Mix sporty pieces with casual and elevated items for a modern athleisure look."
There are several hues that work well with different skin undertones. Warm-toned individuals should opt for earthy colours such as amber and beige, or pastel shades like peach and lavender. Cool-toned individuals look stunning in jewel tones like emerald and ruby, or blush and pink undertones.

According to Real Simple, four universally flattering clothing colors are Eggplant, True Red, Indian Teal, and Mellow Rose. Sounds fancy, right? Each of these colors is either in a neutral place on the color-wheel or an opposite color of our skin tone which makes them very flattering.
The former fit model, who made a living trying on jeans before branching out on her own, has seen fashion peddling jean “cycles” over three decades, and the skinny is on track for 2024. “Equally, high rises are all the rage now, but they are about to get lower,” she teases.
But as ubiquitous as they once were, skinny jeans are out. And looser, 1990s-inspired styles are in. So, what happened? It's not just pants that come and go.
A great pair of jeans is a prime example, so go ahead and splurge on that perfect-fitting pair. T-shirts are another safe bet since they can be layered under cardigans in the cooler months, but look for plain tees with a tailored fit if you want a more fashion-forward look.
