The higher we get in the chakras system, the more intellectual, ethereal, and — well, woo woo the problems and solutions start to get.
If you’ve tuned into the blog over the past few weeks, you’ve seen that I’ve been talking about money problems as they relate to each of our chakras — our energy centers in the body — in turn. We started with the root chakra, which is at the base of our spine and the most basic of our money problems: problems of basic survival. But as we move up the body and the chakra ladder, the problems become less about basic survival and more about issues like what you feel you deserve, your self-identity, and speaking your truth.
And as we get to the top of your body and your third eye chakra, located right in the middle of your forehead, the problems are going to get even more… heady. (Pardon the pun!)
The secret about intuition
The third eye chakra is all about tapping into — and trusting — your intuition. You may be thinking that intuition and money aren’t (or shouldn’t be) related, but that’s not the case. Often, financial decisions can be based in logic, numbers, and concrete facts, but the deciding factor has to be your intuition.

Think about traders on Wall Street. Even the most successful ones, like Warren Buffet, have to take a leap of faith. They can get all the facts and information available, but that final buy or sell decision comes down to their own experience and intuition.
So many people go against their gut and “do it anyway” when it comes to making financial decisions. And, in my experience, more often than not, ignoring that gut feeling is the wrong move.
People are notorious about not trusting their gut when it comes to financial decisions. They read endless facts and figures, hire a consultant, or put their trust in outside experts. Entrepreneurs are notorious about this: they think they can find what they need to know through another course, another book, another coaching program…
Here’s the secret: You already know.
Whatever that decision is you’ve been putting off? You already know the answer.
You just have to trust it.
Tuning in to your intuition
How can you learn to trust your intuition?
The first step is to listen. I find meditation — even a little bit — can be very helpful here. Quieting your mind, stilling the hamster wheel that is your worry, your questions, your anxiety about whatever decision you have to make can help you quiet down enough to hear that little voice that is your intuition.
The key here is also in being able to tell the difference between your true intuition and any “stories” you may have that are getting in the way.
When you think you’ve gotten an answer from your intuition or gut, but you’re not sure, ask yourself:
- Is this based in fear? What am I afraid of?
- Is this someone else’s voice? Sometimes we hear the voice of mom or dad, a teacher, an old boss, a partner — but their voice doesn’t represent your truth.
- How would you feel if you followed this advice? If you don’t follow it? Often, even if the advice you’re hearing from your intuition feels scary, it would feel worse not to follow it.
In the end, there’s no guidebook here. There’s no way to tell if your intuition is right or not (that’s why it’s called intuition and not Magical Answers That Are Always Right).
But, for me at least, I always feel better when I go with my gut — even if it leads me to a mistake. It’s better for me, my energy, and my money mindset to trust what I’m feeling.
