Tupperware replacement question answered (2024)

Question: I have some really old Tupperware and cracked after a lot of use. Does Tupperware still honor their lifetime warranty? Are there any dealers in our area who could help me with getting replacements?

Answer: According to Tupperware.com, “Tupperware® brand products are warranted by Tupperware against chipping, cracking, breaking or peeling under normal non-commercial use for the lifetime of the product. Please call Customer Care toll-free at 1-800-TUPPERWARE (1-800-887-7379) or submit a warranty request online at Tupperware.com/warranty for free replacement. If, due to unavailability, actual product replacement cannot be made, comparable product replacement will be made, or credit toward future purchases of Tupperware® brand products will be given. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Warranty replacement items or parts will be subject to shipping and handling charges and applicable taxes.” Here’s the procedure you can follow to submit a request for replacement:

1. Locate the mold number on the product. Every Tupperware® product has a two-part number stamped into it. The first part (before the dash) is the mold number. Heads up: it can be super teeny-tiny.

2. Take a picture to upload to show them what’s wrong with your product.

3. Hang on to your product for 30 days as they may ask you to send it in. Certain items, such as cookware and knives, will always need to be shipped to us for replacement or credit.

In terms of local consultants who can assist you with replacing Tupperware that’s worn out, the website had a consultant locator. There were two consultants in Somerset County, with many more in the surrounding counties. Bobbi Bernat is listed as a consultant located in Somerset. Angel Schropp is a consultant from Windber.

It’s possible to contact the dealers through the website, but the listings didn’t include phone numbers or email addresses. Much to my frustration when I tried to complete the contact forms to get in touch with the local dealers for contact information to include in this column, I was met by a “captia” asking me to type in a series of letters/numbers. These letters and numbers, unfortunately, are just a picture of letters and numbers, so I was unable to read them with my screen reader. The website provided an option for an audio challenge to prove that I was an actual person filling out the form and not a robot. As I’ve had occur frequently, the audio clip failed to play and I got an error message from the website with a link to their help page. I was able to find Ms. Bernat on Facebook. The phone number listed on her page is 814-442-5268. Of course, you can find her on Facebook and message her. Ms. Schropp’s Facebook page appears to be a closed group, with no contact information available to the general public. There’s an option to join her group, which I’m sure would then give you access to her contact information.
