How to get a Volt Goat Horn? ›

A charged Volt Goat deals electrical damage to Mobs. That means it gains a 1.5x multiplier to a dry target and 2.5x multiplier to wet target. A charged Volt Goat also emits light. Upon death, a Volt Goat will drop 3 Meat and has a 25% chance to also drop a Volt Goat Horn.

The Volt Goat Horn is an Item with a 25% chance to be dropped by Volt Goats in the Reign of Giants DLC. It is an ingredient for crafting the Morning Star and the Weather Pain, making Volt Goats a worthwhile Mob to farm.

In Don't Starve Together, Volt Goats are instead found in the Oasis Desert, they only drop 2 meat when killed, have 700 health (double their health in RoG), and will flee from the player similar to a Koalefant.

Damage dealt while riding a Beefalo is affected by the damage multiplier from Volt Goat Chaud-Froid. Volt Goat Chaud-Froid, while not being a meat item, can still be eaten by Wigfrid.

Admire. From this point onwards, all the goat horns are exclusively dropped by a screaming goat. These are rarer in nature and also sound much different from others. For instance, the Admire goat horn begins loud but gets muffled in between.

Goats will target something to ram every 30 to 300 seconds. If the target moves out of the way and the goat hits a solid block, they'll drop a goat horn. You can also find regular goat horns in pillager outposts. Look for a tall, brown lookout tower.

Not every block is hard enough to dislodge a goat horn. Stone, coal ore, copper ore, iron ore, emerald ore, logs, and packed ice are the only ones that qualify – but this shouldn't be too annoying, because all these blocks are easily found in the areas where goats spawn.

Open the chest and look for a Goat Horn (Ponder). There is about a 50% chance that there will be a goat horn inside. (There are 8 possible goat horn types in the game and the Pillager Outpost chest can contain 4 of these types - Ponder, Sing, Seek, or Feel.)

What is the Volt Goat food? ›

Volt Goat Chaud-Froid is a Warly-specific Food Item cooked in the Portable Crock Pot, exclusive to Don't Starve Together. It requires a Volt Goat Horn and two Sweeteners, and takes 40 seconds to cook. Consuming Volt Goat Chaud-Froid turns all damage caused by the player to electrical damage for five minutes.

It is an ingredient for crafting the Morning Star and the Weather Pain, making Volt Goats a worthwhile Mob to farm.
