Stock photos are becoming increasingly more important because we are visual learners. Most people don’t want to sit and read through thousands of words with no visuals or images!

This is why we use stock photos – to break up our text and provide visual relief to our readers. Without them, it becomes easy to lose your place in the article, and becomes overwhelming to the reader!

Why do Bloggers need free stock photos?

Aside from the reasons I mentioned above, bloggers need to use stock photos for legal reasons. YouCANNOT simply download any image off the internet and use it in your blog posts.

This can lead you to get tied up in legal issues, which no one wants to deal with! If you do happen to see an image on the internet you want to use, simply reach out to the owner and ask permission to use it.

However, most of the time you will not get a response. Do not take this as a reason to go ahead and use the image anyway. Simply find a different picture to use!

Youcould opt to take your own pictures for your blogs. Original images are best, considering they are unique and fresh- no one wants to see the same images on the internet over and over again, which is something that often happens when using stock photos.

However, this takes a LOT of time, especially if you are not a photographer, which could lead to blogging burnout.

Instead, take the time to find a handful of free feminine stock photos you love. This will save you a TON of time and energy, as bloggers tend to use a lot of images.

Where can bloggers use free stock photos

When you find a free feminine stock photos site to use for your blog, they will likely give you a disclosure telling you where you can use the images.

A general rule though is that you can use stock photos pretty muchanywhere, as long as you are not selling them. This means you can use stock photos:

  • Within your blog posts
  • In your email newsletters
  • For advertising purposes
  • In your Pinterest pins
  • Anywhere on your website
  • And for anything except selling the original images

Always make sure to double check the terms and policies, though, so you don’t get into any legal hassles!

Pixabay.com is another website you may be interested in to find free feminine stock photos! It is set up pretty much just like all the other stock photo websites I listed above- no sign up is necessary, just click the image you want to download, and that’s it!

You may find that some of these websites offer the same stock photos. This is normal, you just need to try to remember which ones you have already so you don’t download duplicates! This can be tricky, but it is so worth it to try different websites because they all have different images!
