ApexMjolnir 5 years ago#4 Technically speaking, Dark Souls 3 takes the longest to beat. Even with the bosses all having bonfires within 3 steps, allowing you to die and then respawn and walk back into the battle. DS2, just has a few areas where progress requires crawling through a spot. It might seem like the longest game, because it has the most content, but out of ds1/2/3, I think DS2 can be completed the fastest, simply due to how the branching paths work, and how much of the game can actually be skipped by using an Ascetic. You can literally fight the same boss 3 times to gain entry to locked area of the game, and from there everything is pretty linear, and all of the bosses are either EASY, or non-compete. spikes_dimak 5 years ago#5 The first one you play should be the longest. If you really take your time and explore, the game is meant to last you somewhere around 50-100 hours, your first time thru. Like rpgs of old. Of course you can cut those numbers way down by using guides and or summoning people to help you. |
callipygias 5 years ago#6 Dark Souls 2 is huge. If you do everything available, it is the longest by a good margin. If you just run through and do the basics... still Dark Souls 2. Tmk 5 years ago#9 By longest do you mean which takes the longest to beat without glitching and without anything optional? Or longest to do everything in? I'm pretty sure DS2 has the most content unless you want to count the same 8 rooms in chalice dungeons reskinned and not-even-minibosses from the main game repurposed as "bosses" as unique content. Demon's Souls makes all bosses mandatory but it's a small game so I'm not sure... I suppose I could just look up any% speedrun world record times that are glitchless. But then should we judge length from such extreme examples even if it's the most reliably quantifiable way to do so. I am snazzier, hot, hot rant. Mutilated praise. |
hecatomb1234 5 years ago#10 demons souls is really short if you use the cat ring glitch, cause you can skip a lot of areas with it, and you can teach anyone how to hit reload when you hit the ground with it. |
