Kidneys is that organ in the body that constantly filters blood. It does so by making sure that waste products exit your body from urine. When you live an unhealthy lifestyle, these toxins build up and make it harder for your kidneys to do their job.
One of the ways to ensure that the kidneys function properly however, is by staying hydrated and detoxing also, every once in a while. This also includes your liver as well
This habit can help prevent kidney disease, kidney stones and toxic build-up within your body.
That said, one of the greatest items you can use to detox your kidneys is “Parsley”. Parsley is full of vitamin k, vitamin A, vitamin c, folate and iron, which are important for kidney health.
Amazingly, parsley is also: Anti-microbial, anti- anaemic, menorrhagic, anti-coagulant, anti-hyperlipidemic (lowers blood fat); anti-hepatotoxic (prevents liver toxicity), anti-hypertensive (lowers blood pressure), diuretic, hypoglycaemic, anti-oxidative, estrogenic (helps manage menstruation), and finally, traditional medicine recommends the use of parsley to help manage kidney stones.
Drinking parsley tea helps cleanse your kidneys by increasing urine production and flow, which may “push” out kidney stones. It’s also said to prevent the absorption of salt into kidney tissue, preventing the formation of kidney stones.
To make Parsley tea to cleanse your kidneys, here is what to do.
Ingredients
- Bunch of fresh organic parsley leaves (Fresh herbs make for a more potent tea, but you can replace them with a handful of dried parsley leaves.
- 5 cups of clean water,
- 1 tbsp. of organic honey
- 1 Lemon, (extract fresh squeezed juice)
Direction
Wash and chop the Parsley leaves, leaving them in large pieces. Boil water at medium heat. Once boiled, add leaves and lower heat. Let it simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and drain into a large sauce pan with a lid and let it cool and add lemon and honey to taste.
You can drink 1-2 cups a day and store the rest in the refrigerator for up to one week. If you don’t want to use this method, 
please note that you can slice Parsley leaves into bits, squeeze and extract the juice, the add all other ingredients above. Which ever works for you is fine!
Caution: Parsley tea can induce menstruation and abortion, so pregnant women should abstain from drinking this tea. Again, if you’re currently taking prescribed medication or suffer from kidney disease of other illnesses, talk to your doctor before taking parsley tea to be on the safe side of medication.
